Before we begin the demonstration it is important that you know areas that are at risk of infection and the signs of an infection.
Areas at risk of infection are your:
• Abdomen
• Your legs and feet
Remember to check your skin everyday so you can see if you have open areas

Signs of infection may include:
• Swelling
• Redness of the skin which can quickly spread
• Feelings of pain
• Feelings of tenderness
• and having fever or chills

It is normal to have a small amount of redness around an open area that is healing. However, if the redness begins to expand this is an emergency.

If you have an infection or think you have an infection, go immediately to:
Your Family Doctor
A Walk in Clinic
Urgent Care Clinic
Or Emergency

Let's begin by gently placing your hands on your stomach. Take a deep breathe in through the nose, allowing the stomach to expand. Exhale through pursed lips, allowing the stomach to flatten. Take a small pause between each breath to avoid dizziness. Transcription: We begin the massage at the neck. The lymph system brings fluid back to the blood circulation at the neck. This massage helps lymph fluid drain back into your blood




Beginning at the neck, place the flats of the 2nd and 3rd fingers just above the collarbone on either side of your neck. Do a shoulder shrug up and feel the dip in the skin; this is the correct position. Massage down and in towards the collarbone. Stretch the skin as far as it naturally goes and release.
